About the Program

Writing the DNP final manuscript in six simple steps: It is possible!

And in this pilot program, we'll show you exactly how.
The My DNP Manuscript pilot program is a unique, online instructional program available FREE to a limited number of currently enrolled doctor of nursing practice (DNP) students. The program features
  • expert instruction on how to write a manuscript about your DNP final project,
  • insider information from experts in the field of manuscript editing and writing regarding what goes into a journal manuscript and what stays out, and
  • specific methods for avoiding the most common mistakes previous DNP students have made while attempting to write their final manuscripts.

What kind of instruction is included?

Why is it FREE?

The program consists of 6 instructional sessions, carefully developed by experts in manuscript writing, that you access online. Each session contains:
  • Step-by-step, crystal-clear explanations of how to write each part of your final manuscript: introduction/background, aims, methods, results, discussion, and abstract.
  • Clear examples of how to write (and how NOT to write) each part of your manuscript.
  • Tips for writing each section of your manuscript in the correct voice, using the correct tense, and in proper scholarly writing style.
This is a pilot program, meaning we are asking YOU, our participants, to try the online program and provide us your valuable feedback.

Soon after you enroll, you'll receive instructions for how to begin the program, and you'll be expected to complete brief (5 to 8 minutes) surveys before the program, after each instructional session (there are 6 total), and one month after you have accessed all instructional sessions.

Your feedback will be used to fine-tune the program for future DNP students. And you get this incredible wealth of knowledge for FREE when you enroll now!

The pilot program works like this:

• After enrolling, you'll receive an invitation email to create a password for this website.
• Once you have your login password, you'll log in and be able to access the pre-program survey.
• Once completed, you'll gain access to the following video-based program sessions, released one at a time after you complete each session's post-session survey:

  1. Write the Introductory Sections of the Manuscript (approx. 18 minutes)
  2. Write Your Aims (approx. 8 minutes)
  3. Write the Methods Section of the Manuscript (approx. 15 minutes)
  4. Write the Results Section of the Manuscript (approx. 11 minutes)
  5. Write the Discussion Section of the Manuscript (approx. 8 minutes)
  6. Write the Abstract and Prepare for Journal Submission (approx. 8 minutes)
