The Intro video includes approximately 10 minutes of instruction.

• Where to get ideas for which journal your article belongs in,
  
• How and when to query a journal editor,
  
• Effective strategies for beginning to write, and

The Step 1 video includes approximately 26 minutes of instruction.

After viewing the video for Step 1, you'll be able to:

• Identify what information belongs in the introductory sections of a journal manuscript,
• Understand what a broad problem statement is and how to write one,
• Understand what a local problem statement is and how to write one,
• Understand how to write and how not to write the literature review, and
  
• Know what tense to use when writing the introductory sections of your manuscript.

The Step 2 video includes approximately 13 minutes of instruction.

As a result of watching the video for Step 2, you’ll have the ability to:

• Understand the difference between your project’s purpose and its aims,
• Write a clear purpose of your project,
• Identify what a correctly worded outcome aim looks like,
  
• Learn about process aims and when to use them, and
  
• Understand the components of a well-written purpose and aims so you can write them for your manuscript.

The Step 3 video includes approximately 21 minutes of instruction.

After viewing the video for Step 3, you’ll be able to:

• Understand the purpose of the Methods section and why it’s so important to your manuscript,
• Identify the subsections of the Methods and
• Understand what content belongs in each one,
• Describe in what order the subsections should be written,
• Know when to write in first person, and
• Identify mistakes student authors frequently make when writing the Methods section and learn how to avoid those mistakes in your own manuscript.

The Step 4 video includes approximately 13 minutes of instruction.

As a result of watching the video for Step 4, you’ll have the skills to:

• Identify the right and wrong ways to report results in a journal manuscript,
• Understand when to report confidence interval and effect size when reporting your results,
  
• Write about and report qualitative data, and
  
• Know what you should definitely NOT do when writing the Results section.

The Step 5 video includes approximately 15 minutes of instruction.

After watching the video for Step 5, you’ll come away with the ability to:

• Understand the right way to begin the Discussion section of a well-written manuscript,
• Know how to discuss a project if the implementation was not a success,
• Understand what to be sure NOT to include in this section, which student authors often do by mistake, and
• Understand how to write about the limitations of your project.

The Step 6 video includes approximately 14 minutes of instruction.

• Write an unstructured abstract
• Write a structured abstract
• Understand what keywords are for and how to pick the right ones for your manuscript, and
